I had a really lovely engagement session in Coal Harbour with Neda & Houman. We lucked out with the weather, considering it was hailing two days before!
I love Neda's gorgeous dressed made by Manuel Mendoza.

It's my first Mother's Day as a mama. I like "firsts" but look forward to many more opportunities to reflect on what it means to me to be a mama. This journey so far has blown my world open. Thank you papa for capturing a photo of us together on this very special day.
Happy Mother's Day to all you beautiful + devoted mama's out there!

This was a fun little shoot i got to do for Wedluxe Magazine in one of my favorite Vancouver shops, The Cross. This shop is always full of gorgeous eye candy.... all the glassware you see throughout these images can be found there. The flowers were provided by Suzanne at Granville Island Florist, but the floral design was done by Soha Lavin at Countdown Events. The delicious gold flake chocolates are from Chocolate Arts and were actually served to Queen Elizabeth during her last visit to Canada!
This shoot was produced by Soha Lavin at Countdown Events.

Well hello there. We have been waiting for you for a long time. I am sorry the last bit of your journey into this world was a little bumpy. Thank you so much for being so patient with me. You are so perfect and sweet. You sleep and eat like a pro already. You smile at me and melt my heart.
I could not have prepared for this bliss.
I am so deeply in love with you. You have changed my world forever. You have made me a mother.

This stunning ceremony and reception was photographed by Kyoko in the backyard of the bride's parent's private residence in Point Grey, Vancouver. I just love backyard weddings! They are so unique and intimate. If i was going to do it, this is how i would like to do it.

Earlier this year, I was invited onto the set of a motion film called WRECKED to photograph their movie poster and stills on set and behind the scenes. This film stars one of my favorite actors Adrien Brody. I'm not going to lie, it took me a few days on set before I could get past feeling so starry eyed every time I was around him. I am a huge fan!
To see him work and be witness to his process as an artist… well, let's just say i was honored to photograph him.
In addition, my lovely beau James Liston was the Director of Photography. So, not only was I able to photograph an Oscar winner, but I got to work next to my man and watch him shine.
This opportunity was definitely a highlight this year. Unfortunately i am not able to share many of my images of Mr.Brody besides the ones you see here. But here are some behind the scenes from this wet, dark and cold shoot that took place for one long wintery month in the middle of nowhere on Vancouver Island.
